FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Plain answers before you book. If yours is not here, call the front desk.
What happens at my first visit?
You talk with your chiropractor about your history and what you want from care, then have an exam. They explain what they found and your options, and care starts only if you agree. Plan on 45 to 60 minutes.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Most people have no serious problems, but care has known risks. Some people are sore afterward. Rarely, neck adjustments have been linked to a tear in an artery that can cause a stroke. Your chiropractor explains the risks before treating you. If you have new weakness, numbness or a sudden severe headache, see a physician first.
Will it hurt?
Many people feel pressure or movement, and some feel sore for a day. Tell your clinician what you feel, and they will change what they do or stop whenever you ask.
How many visits will I need?
Your doctor suggests a plan after the exam and reviews it with you as you go. We do not promise a number of visits up front, and results vary from person to person.
Do you take my insurance?
We bill most PPO plans for chiropractic visits, and coverage differs from plan to plan. Massage is usually not covered. Our front desk checks your benefits before your first visit. See How fees work.
What if I do not use insurance?
You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. We give you a written estimate before your first visit, and the front desk can give you our fee list. See How fees work.
Do I need x-rays?
Not always. Your chiropractor orders x-rays only when they are medically necessary, and explains why before you decide.
Do you see children or pregnant patients?
Our team focuses on adults. If you are pregnant or are asking about a child, call us first and we will tell you plainly what we do and do not offer. Talk with your own physician or midwife as well.
What if I am already seeing another provider?
Tell us. With your permission we share notes with your physician or other clinicians, and we ask you to tell them about your care here.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please call us as early as you can if you need to change a visit. Ask the front desk about our cancellation policy.
